Survey on a Set of Features for New Urban Warehouse Management Inspired by Industry 4.0 and the Physical Internet.

Résumé

City logistics is one of the most significant branches of supply chain management. It deals with the logistics and transportation activities in urban areas. This research area has recently experienced exponential growth in publications. In this article, we introduce a new urban warehouse. This customer-oriented logistics facility aims to respond to last-mile delivery challenges. To do so, the use of Industry 4.0 methods and technologies, as well as elements of the Physical Internet paradigm, are explored. The possibility of validating the elements mentioned with a La Poste project, which aims to create an experimental laboratory, is proposed.
