Towards New Human-Machine Systems in contexts involving interactive table and tangible objects

Résumé

The adaptation to context (or context-awareness), in particular the adaptation of interactive systems has become essential with the advent of new information technologies and communication. This article proposes a classification of criteria allowing these adaptations. It is adapted and used in the particular case of a new platform using an interactive table coupled with tangible objects. The criteria of context-awareness differ from those proposed for restricted platforms. They are explained before being illustrated. A situation based on context-awareness is presented and used to validate the proposition of new criteria. The paper ends with a conclusion and some prospects.
