Optimization of an image-based impact test for the characterization of viscoplasticity
Résumé
The present work aims at identifying Johnson-Cook viscoplastic model parameters over a plastic wide strain and strain-rate range (up to 0.1 and 1000 s-1 respectively), using the Dynamic Virtual Fields Method. To define the experimental setup, a design process has been set. It relies on the numerical optimization of the setup specimen shape, the impact conditions and the measurement resolution (spatial and temporal resolution for field measurements), etc. with respects to user-defined criteria. Finally, the selected configuration has to ensure an accurate and robust identification.
