Abstract

The aim of this paper is to verify experimentally the constant possibility of performing a Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) in a medium by studying the ambient noise present therein. First, we will illustrate the equivalence between the Green's function and the cross-correlation, then we will move to the experimental studies which will be conducted on a tube. Finally, a comparison algorithm described in a previous work will be validated in order to show the influence of the presence of a defect in the structure on the cross-correlation.
