Résumé

Piezoelectric composites made from at low percentage of lead zirconium titanate (PZT) particles as filler and a polyamide-6 as the matrix were prepared by solutions casting and studied for their piezoelectric, dielectric, mechanical and structural properties. It was found that the incorporation of piezoelectric fillers plays a significant role in enhancing the dielectric and piezoelectric properties of these composites. The experimental results showed that the incorporation of piezoelectric charges have resulted in a 2.8% increase in dielectric constant to a value of 28.5. Thus, a 1.5% increase in piezoelectric properties was observed. The mechanical behavior of these composites was study and compared so as to evaluate the mechanical proprieties of composites. Finally, the homogeneous dispersion of the ceramic PZT in polyamide matrix has been obtained in order to verify by employing the SEM analysis. These three-phase composites could be proposed for energy harvesting, actuator and sensing applications.
