Internet of things system for healthcare applications
Résumé
The IoT sensor networks used by patients, could support medical staff to diagnose and to monitor continuously. The human body and movement can cause interference which make the sensors retransmit the data. This will increase packet error ratio (PER). Our cross layer protocol take advantages of beacon power measurements in the node’s physical layer, to determine whether there is interference from human body or not. This information will be used by medium access control layer to decide transmission of frames. Simulation results show that there are significant improvements of PER while maintaining throughput relatively.
